Scientific Evidence
After 12 weeks of AKK supplementation, insulin sensitivity increased by 42.42%! With enhanced metabolism, weight also decreased. Compared to the placebo group, the AKK dead bacteria group lost an average of 2.27 kg, including approximately 1.37 kg of fat! Hip circumference decreased by 2.63 cm, and waist circumference decreased by 1.56 cm. Compared to the placebo, the AKK dead bacteria group showed a significant reduction in total cholesterol by 8.68%, with low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol decreasing by 7.53% and triglycerides decreasing by 15.71%.
The results of the experiments showed an increase in the percentage of macrophages releasing the M1 phenotype and pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., TNF-α and IL-6) when incubated with gliadin. Pre- and post-treatment of gliadin-stimulated macrophages induced an M2 phenotype associated with a decrease in pro-inflammatory and an increase in the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokines compared to the group treated with gliadin alone. This study demonstrates the potential beneficial effects of A. muciniphila on gliadin-stimulated MQ.
