Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a derivative of vitamin B 3 . It is a molecule that occurs naturally in the human body and is a precursor to NAD+. NAD+ is a coenzyme that plays a key role in metabolism and other cellular pathways. It is involved in regulating a variety of biological processes, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and apoptosis, and is present in all living cells.
